KAMBODJA Giving Brand is a Hong Kong-based, socially responsible fashion accessories brand founded by French-Khmer designer Linda Quach in 2015. Linda’s rich heritage is not just apparent in the name of her brand (which is an amalgamation of the word for ‘Cambodia’ in three different languages), but also in each design that she dreams up. All of her handcrafted accessories display a harmonious fusion of sleek, Western minimalism and a quietly exotic spirit.
KAMBODJA’s debut capsule collection consists of a mini pouch, shoulder bag, bandana, sleeve cuffs and a pocket square that all feature unexpected details, such as triangular shapes and slanted lines. All accessories are created to last you a lifetime as they are made of high-quality materials: soft, black lambskin leather is paired with either gold or copper-coloured Khmer sarong fabric sourced from local markets in Cambodia. As Linda could only find a limited amount of this particular fabric, KAMBODJA’s first collection is a limited edition: once sold out, the designs will not be re-made.
Linda is dedicated to giving back to the country where her roots are, so a strong social mission is at the heart of everything that KAMBODJA does. A percentage of the brand’s sales profits are donated to Passerelles Numériques Cambodia, a charity helping underprivileged young Cambodians out of poverty by providing them with an IT education. Additionally, KAMBODJA is associated with PSE For a Child’s Smile, a charity that aims to rescue, care for and educate the poorest of Cambodia’s children, and the People Improvement Organization (PIO), an NGO that provides over 1300 Cambodian children with meal programs, vocational training and education.
