At first I thought they are photos, but in fact they are works by New York artist Garin Baker. An illustrator as well as an artist, he has a very clear view as to what he wishes to portray and deliver through his works to different viewers.
“No need to shock or over intellectualize when simple human emotions, communicated visually, can bring us to a place where we can all share our common experiences.”
Depicting scenes in New York, details of the public and the cityscape is evident and realistically drawn out in his artworks. With his immense portraiture skills obtained from real life classes during his earlier years in Pratt Institute in Brooklyn; even for viewers like us living in Asia are we moved by the aesthetics and the angles of portrayal used in his images.
