Camouflage (a word borrowed from the French verb ‘camoufler’, meaning ‘to disguise’) print was originally conceived in the early 1900s to help soldiers blend in with their surroundings, and hence protect them on the battlefield. As of today, the military lifesaver has long been adopted by the world of fashion and design, and–quite ironically–is now used to create eye-catching statement outfits and accessories.
