The term BERTH, which means “a ship’s allotted place at a wharf or dock” by definition, is also the name of a local designer store here in Hong Kong. Hoping to deliver the same sense of relaxation connoted with the word, designer Afa Tsang, in hands with glasses collector Vincent Chuang, has started this store to present their customers with a wide range of vintage goods from around the world. Carrying unique vintage jewelries, accessories, and Afa’s very own fashion label, BERTH NUMBER 66, this space is the perfect spot for those who are into the LaGarçonne style from the 20’s, and the color blocking style of the Art Deco era.

Emphasizing on comfort, texture, relaxation and femininity, this 2014 founded brand uses the main theme of “Modern Vintage” as their design topic each season for their Womenswear collection. For this particular AW2015 collection, BERTH NUMBER 66 focused on the idea of “Like a Vintage College Girl”, and has thus introduced a whole lot of dresses, sweaters, V-neck knits, tartan jackets, and ponchos. Not to mention, they have also used velvet material to create suit jackets and loose fit trousers for the season. The collection also stuck with the vintage style palette, including burgundy, olive green, khaki, white and navy blue just to name a few. Perfect for mixing-and-matching with, the designs are not at all restricted to only those who have an interest in vintage style clothing.
